Katie & Adam | Castle Rock Maternity Photographer

I am sitting here listening to "the Good Life" by one of my favorite bands...One Republic.  I'm in a ridiculously good mood...coffee does that to me.  ;p  This session was so sweet to me.  There is something about being an observer of something precious.  I loved watching this couple interact...talk about their sweet girl arriving soon, they were just so naturally affectionate.  It still makes me smile thinking about how Adam was so gentle with Katie...or the ease in which they make each other laugh.  

I attempted to get the name of their daughter, they are keeping her name  a secret until she is born, and my attempts may have made them laugh.   Gertrude, Shaniqua,  Pollyanna....wouldn't budge.  Hmmm, love a good secret.  ;p   To be honest, I just really love this session...crazy 40 mile an hour wind and all.  Perhaps just being part of this beautiful families life for a moment made me want to love on my family a bit more.  Anyway, enjoy a few of our pics from that beautiful afternoon.

Luke, an absolute adorable little man.  Fell in love with his sweet blue eyes and the expressions big or small that he would give me.  I may have had to sing if your happy and you know it a few times but the little smiles he would give me melted me.  What a heart breaker!  Love this age...everything and I mean everything goes into the mouth.  So much curiosity packed into a little guy.  LOVE him. 

We ended up at Shove Chapel...a place that I love for its soft colors, big trees, and wide open spaces.  And the day could not have been better...gorgeous sunny and warm day.  Enjoy a few of our pics from that afternoon!

Did I mention I love my family?  I do...and these two girls are my nieces.  And I love them to pieces.  I love the way they laugh at each other, make jokes, when I really have no idea what they are talking about...but I laugh anyway.  They listen to random, cool and eclectic music and I love watching them love on my babies.  Or hug their mom and dad...or tickle their brothers.    They are sweet and fierce all at the same time.  Both of them athletes...one softball and the other soccer.  You can tell though, that there is something unique between the two of them...a protective, loyal closeness that makes me want to hug them more.  Reminds me of my sweet family.  Both of them so intelligent.  You guys are going places...big places.  ;p  And I couldn't be more excited to watch what happens next for you. 

I just need to take a moment and state the obvious...a.m.a.z.i.n.g. hair...gorgeous eyes fantabulous personalities...some peeps get it all.  LOVE you both SO much.   Love who you are and who you are becoming...totes love.  (PS they keep me up to date on cool lingo like that...or y.o.l.o. was my absolute favorite...You only live once)  If that doesn't make you smile...well... too bad.  ;p

Manitou Springs, Colorado Photographer | Brody and his sweet family

This location ended up being a bit unexpected.  It was a COLD and windy...and the attempt was going to be for the penny arcade.  However, Brody had other plans...and I'm SUPER thankful he did.  We ended up inside a beautiful building that has amazing light...I'm hesitant to share because I'm thinking its an untapped gorgeous place.  And like any gorgeous place in Colorado it can become highly populated fast.  What...I'm just sayin... ;p  

Back to Brody, SO handsome at 5 months...the biggest bluest eyes.  Ah, he makes my heart melt.  Love him and his ability to make his whole family light up and laugh with him.  Loved watching his Grandma and Grandpa snuggle with him, spoil him and steal kisses when they could.  Or his tough Dad...yes, Tim you are tough, tickle Brody till he laughed.  Its serious happiness for me to see such a family be so open in their life with me.  Whether its sarcastic jokes or serious moments...this is a beautiful family to me.  Enjoy a few pics from that morning!

Drops of Jupiter, brighter than the sun, Cold Play, every tear is a waterfall...music.  Music reminds me of my sister...so many different sounds and styles.  Memories of blasting songs in the car while driving at crazy speeds...laughing and sharing stories that make you dream big dreams. 

She is my inspiration, my shoulder that I cry on...the one who challenges me to think bigger, to be better and to love...MORE.  I simply love her.  Everything about her is colorful.  From the way she dresses, the way she dances...oh yes, she's got some moves and the way she captures life with her crazy amazing photography skills...makes me smile to see someone live life so fully. Creativity, generosity and laughter are characteristics that will always be a part of who she is.  A part of what draws so many people to her...to know her... is to love her.  Isn't that some famous saying?  ;p  Well, it fits her...

Nate & Marjorie | Colorado Springs Wedding Photographer

I met this sweet couple in a coffee shop a couple of months ago.  I love hearing how couples met...what the connection is.  And for Nate and Marjorie...blind date. Yes, these two were set up by their friends and what usually seems to end in a "what were you thinking" turned to wedding bells by July.  ;p  LOVE that...I think its a true testimony to the friendships that they have...and that you truly do meet the "one" you are supposed to meet at some point whether by chance or true intention, I'll leave that for you to decide. 

Getting to capture them in an element that is true to who they are...in the beautiful mountains of Colorado was fun for me.  Loved the easy laughter that Marjorie had for Nate.  And the sweet looks that Nate would give to Marjorie.  Love...yes, I truly loved capturing this relationship.  Enjoy a few pics from that morning!
