Nothing beats sunshine and a happy family for photos.  And this family is one of my favorites to photograph.  I've been working with them for over a couple of years now.  And Genne is just one of those people that makes you feel happy.  Love watching her with her babies.  And this location was special for Justin and Genne because they had gotten married there 4 years ago.  Enjoy a few pics from that afternoon!

I don't know what it is about this family...but I laugh really hard every time I do their session.  Chad and Jill are extremely sarcastic...well more so with Chad and Jill so sweet she softens it with a laugh at the end.  My kind of humor.  Their girls...so full of energy.  And Rachel...seriously SO adorable.  Wanting to have her photos taken and pretty much let me do whatever it was I wanted.  Wish I could have her talk to my daughter about that.  ;p  Abby, her sweet brown eyes that completely lit up when Chad would throw her in the air or stop to give her a kiss.   She was in LOVE with my yellow chair.  Its just the right size for her...and I think she thought she was a princess in it.  Lindsey, so sweet and caring...my favorite moment, I don't want to do that because it might hurt my mommy's back.  So thoughtful.  Chad and Jill...as usual, such a fun session for me.  Love your little family and I'm excited for the next stage for you all!

Gorgeous day, a sweet family and a Dad, husband in uniform.  Makes for a beautiful session for me to photograph.  This was my third session with this family and I love that I'm getting to know them...the way they laugh and seem so at ease with whatever life throws at them.   I love the expressions of happiness that were so easily captured of Benjamin...he is one loved son.  Or the way Emsley's face would light up when Martina would sing to her...or the way Kilian would look at his beautiful wife.  This is an amazing family...and I feel honored that I get to capture their family.  Enjoy a few pics from that beautiful morning! 

A sweet engagement session

Mark and Jess, completely at ease with me and with each other...it was obvious from the beginning.  Laughing, Mark carrying Jess across the snow...oh yes, he was a regular night in shining armor with her.  Romantic...yes, it gets the girls every time.  But what made this session amazing for me...was the light and their ADORABLE son.  Yes, I was smitten.  The blue eyes, yes, his eyes were amazing.  So fun for me to see Mark and Jess love on him.  And I have to say I was pretty impressed with how strong he was. 

Mark and Jess, you are both beautiful.  Yes, I said beautiful.  The kindness and love that you both showed each other and me just made me want to get to know you both better.  Wishing you the best in your next chapter of life.

Oh my goodness...this sweet blond haired blued eyed boy, Connor, is awesome. Yes, he loved to jump around, joke with me and when he would smile it would simply light up his whole face.  What a joy to photograph this sweet family...where laughter is so obviously a regular part of their day.  Trish you are SO sweet and loved how you made everyone smile around you.  Thank you for being part of such a sweet morning for me.

There is something about capturing a natural moment...where laughter, smiles and stolen kisses are caught unaware.  Sure, I enjoy posing people and directing but in the end my favorite photos are always going to be when something happens to make someone forget that I'm there.   And that happened with this family.  Actually, with the Dad and his sweet boys.  Made me laugh and smile at such a sweet moment.

Hayley and Dave were married at Shove Chapel and it was SO fun for me to capture there family photos in such a special spot for them.  And can I just say...you guys are CRAZY beautiful.  Yes, its true.

Gorgeous soft diffused light...beautiful trees with traces of fall still holding on.  Then the gorgeous outlines, doors of Shove chapel made for such a lovely session. 

This family, chased each other, laughed, through leaves, climbed trees and teased their sweet Mom to no end.  I loved it...loved being a part of capturing some sweet moments for their father as a surprise.  What a great gift!
