Dark hair, blue eyes and a beautiful personality made me drawn to Kelsey.  Yes, she is a sweet mother and crazy loved by her man.  So fun to watch this sweet family walk through a creek, spash Zia...and my self included, and attempt to avoid getting eaten by ants.  Hey, every location has its downfall...but we managed.  ;p  Loved this maternity session!  Enjoy a few of our pics from that night! 

Katie & Adam | Castle Rock Maternity Photographer

I am sitting here listening to "the Good Life" by one of my favorite bands...One Republic.  I'm in a ridiculously good mood...coffee does that to me.  ;p  This session was so sweet to me.  There is something about being an observer of something precious.  I loved watching this couple interact...talk about their sweet girl arriving soon, they were just so naturally affectionate.  It still makes me smile thinking about how Adam was so gentle with Katie...or the ease in which they make each other laugh.  

I attempted to get the name of their daughter, they are keeping her name  a secret until she is born, and my attempts may have made them laugh.   Gertrude, Shaniqua,  Pollyanna....wouldn't budge.  Hmmm, love a good secret.  ;p   To be honest, I just really love this session...crazy 40 mile an hour wind and all.  Perhaps just being part of this beautiful families life for a moment made me want to love on my family a bit more.  Anyway, enjoy a few of our pics from that beautiful afternoon.

LOVE this family.  Yes, I've known Kate since Jr. High.  Ah...the girl who stuck by me through rolled up jeans, the wave hair style, T.P. late night bandits (oh yes, we had a name for ourselves), trips around the world, scary movies, soccer tournaments...you get the idea...we are crazy close friends.  ;p 

Love her, love being able to call her up and know that I can still hang with my buddy any time.  She's outgoing and sweet and will make you laugh like no other...and her hubby Chris is just the same.  Its so fun for my family to just sit and chat and talk about whatever is on our minds.  Yes, this family is important and special to my sweet family.  Oh and Charlie...is ADORABLE.  Yes, they taught him to laugh while slapping his knee...no joke, its just about the cutest thing you will ever see.  Makes me laugh just thinking about it. 

Kate is expecting a baby girl to arrive in February.  And I all ready LOVE her.  Sweet Emily.   Can't wait to meet her and see who she becomes.

I love fall...yes, I do.  And this session was taken at the perfect time for it.  Love all the different colors, the smell of it and just the feeling of change.  It makes me happy.  So enjoyed working with this sweet family.  There is something absolutely beautiful to me to watch a man be gentle and so caring for his woman.  And Kellen was so like that for Martina.   Benjamen,  playful and energetic...he could not get enough of the chickens over at the Rock Ledge Ranch.  Seriously, loved his happiness.

There is just something absolutely stunning about a woman being pregnant.  Yes, its as if the sun shines just for them...uh huh, I so said that.  Allison is so gorgeous and feminine...and I LOVED yes, LOVED how Ben was around her.  Helping her, hugging her or just watching her...he is in L.O.V.E.  with his woman.  And it was beautiful for me to see.  And Elliot, he is all boy.  Loved his sense of adventure and ability to make his parents laugh...a lot.  I might have had to chase him a few times...but it was worth it.   ;p

Colorado Springs Maternity Photographer - Alyssa and her sweet fam!

So this was a crazy stormy night.  Yes, lightening and thunder...everywhere.  But it held off for just a little bit for us.  All we had to do is stand in the rain.  ;p  Which, actually they didn't mind at all.  We did this session in Adam's parents backyard...yes, this beautiful location is my clients.  A creek, beautiful landscaping, flowers and a huge forest.  Then you add, Alyssa.  Stunning.  Yes, that is how I would describe her.  Perhaps, what made this family so fun for me...was there ability to just laugh, relax and just enjoy some time with a crazy photographer snapping photos in the rain.  ;p
