Waldos Canyon and a little different side to G.O.G

I think that I really just enjoy trying things...or attempting to see something unique...I went out for a hike by myself to Waldo's Canyon...probably not my brightest idea...but it was fun.  And I'm safe now.  :)  Who cares if I passed a Hannibal Lector look a like.  Creepy guy...anyway, thats not what this is about...pictures, oh yeah...me having fun...with my camera.

Dark and Moody...

Sometimes my pictures help me put words to my feelings...weird I guess...I really loved the mystery of this picture...kind of spooky actually...at least thats the way I see it.  I ended up liking the colors...very fall.  I took this picture in New York using my sister in laws Canon...thats when the spark started going for me...when I realized I enjoyed getting lost in the woods so to speak with a camera.  Today I'm feeling a bit moody and wanted to see if I could put that into my editting...works...and now I'm free to just move on and be happy.  Anyway, enjoy the honesty...somedays its there.  :)

Sunset

I have been watching this tree for the last couple of weeks...like I said before, there is something really beautiful to me about trees. I kept on wishing or promising that I would take a picture of it soon. I ended up having what I think a perfect shot of it after a photo shoot on Saturday...still had the camera in the car...so why not. Anyway, my point I guess is...some moments you'll catch and be in love with it...these were some for me.

Like this photo above, I was trying to take a picture of the sunset at Garden of the Gods...I looked back and saw that a group of men had put up an American Flag above their construction site.  Beautiful to me...

Tim Darcie Jess

Super fun day yesterday!  Tim, Darcie and Jess...a family...part of my family.  Yes, Darcie you are my adopted family...these are people you just like being around.  Especially when they are all together.  It was fun watching them interact...laughing, smiling, punching eachother, posing...running up hills, letting me boss them around...huh, I think I liked that...anyway, thanks for letting me tag a long...had fun hangin with you guys.

Have you ever been around someone who just makes you smile?  This is a girl who's smile will light up a room in a second.  She's genuine, smart and funny...I loved taking her pictures.  There are just going to be people out there that were meant to be photographed...and she's one of them...super fun way to start off my morning..

Two years ago...

Two years ago, Hudson Jonathan, came into the world!  In two years, he grew into a talking, laughing, devious, fun and full of love boy!  He is my second child...and if any of you have two children you know what its like...competition.  Anything Kenzie does...he can do...which is probably why he started walking, jumping and running super fast!  I love this boy...I love his wet kisses, his sticky hands on my face...and yes, even though he's heavy, the fact that he still wants to snuggle with me.  Love you Hudson!

everyday is a new day for me to grab my camera...:)

I think that I'm enjoying the practice part way too much!  The kids and I often pack up the car and go hiking...while I grab my camera and hope, cross my fingers...that I'll see something...I'll admit sometimes my photos are a stretch...but so far this journey to challenge myself to see things differently has been fun...

My new little love...

Who is this girl!?  She is sweet, funny, quick to laugh, and FULL of curiosity.  And today, yes today, she told me she loved me...okay so she said lub you and gave me a kiss...ahhh, my heart...I didn't know I could love another little girl as much as I do...but I do.  This is Hayley and I get to watch her a couple of days a week...and I just love her.

Today, I just wanted to see what I would see...simple as that.  Inspiration for what, I don't know.  I just liked these pictures.. I love the different things you can see all in one spot.  Garden of the Gods is a classic photo for many...and I still love it.

For some reason I've always been drawn to trees.  I love them.  I like how unique, beautiful, scary, safe and intimidating they can be...it just depends on how you look at them.
